MID-SOUTH — So what if you didn’t get your absentee ballot mailed to you or it didn’t show up in time, what do you do? Or if you got the absentee ballot and you would rather vote in person instead.

In Arkansas, you go to the courthouse and sign an affidavit and you can early vote. Early voting there ends on Monday. Afterward, you can still go to a polling place and still vote by provisional ballot.

In Mississippi, you still have time to apply for absentee ballots or you also have the option of showing up at the polling place and voting provisionally on Election Day.

In Tennessee, we are told by the Secretary of State’s office that you can vote provisionally on election day if you did not get your ballot in the mail in time. You can also vote provisionally on election day even if you got the absentee ballot but changed your mind and would rather vote in person instead.
