OXFORD, Miss. — A man is behind bars after allegedly stealing thousands from two gas stations he worked at in Oxford, Miss.
On Sept. 3, around 7:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to a Chevron gas station and Marathon gas station, both on S. Lamar Boulevard, after a report of stolen money.
An employee who worked at both locations, who was off-duty at the time, had stolen $2,800, police said.
Police identified the suspect as Brandon Pettis, 19, of Oxford.
The missing money was found after a search warrant was issued.
Pettis was charged with Grand Larceny, police said, and his bond was set at $15,000.
The investigation is ongoing.
