FAYETTE COUNTY, Tenn. — The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a family of four that occurred on Hutton Drive in Fayette County, Tennessee.
The incident occurred on Feb. 18.
There are limited details surrounding the investigation due to it being in the early stages.
Investigators say that evidence indicates a family member killed three other family members in the home then committed suicide, according to a release from the sheriff’s office.
The victims have all been sent to the Shelby County Medical Examiner’s Office and are awaiting autopsy.
According to the release, two of the victims are in their teens and the third victim and the suspect were both adults.
The names of the adults and relationships of those involved are not being released pending confirmed positive identification from the Medical Examiner, officials said.
Cause of death cannot be released until the Medical Examiner’s Office issues their report.
The investigators can confirm that all four subjects had gunshot wounds.
They also confirm that there was no prior history of violence or law enforcement-related calls at the residence.
