FAYETTE COUNTY, Tenn. — Fayette County Fire Station 14 was broken into over the weekend.
According to a Facebook post from the Hickory Withe Fire Department, the exterior of the building was damaged, as well as a recently renovated training room.
Fire department equipment was taken.
In the post, the fire department said, “The 3 primary goals of a fire dept is 1) life safety 2) protecting property and 3) environmental conservation..... the actions of these criminals directly affect all 3 by taking the tools and resources needed to perform our job.”
The crime is being investigated by the Fayette County Sheriffs Office and Fayette County Fire Dept.
