MID-SOUTH — Restaurants in the Mid-South can get some much needed financial relief amid the ongoing pandemic.
The Small Business Association has funds ready for restaurants, bars and other food service businesses.
The funds are part of the $1.9 trillion stimulus bill, and unlike federal programs this one gives priority to small businesses owned by women and minorities.
The grant, known as the Restaurant Revitalization Fund, does not have to be paid back.
Registration for the SBA application portal begins Friday morning, and applicants can apply beginning Monday.
Countless restaurants have some struggled and some have even closed amid business restrictions, short staffing and outright shutdowns.
Bakeries, wineries, caterers, food trucks and more are eligible to apply.
