MEMPHIS, Tenn. — For the second time this week, a Valero gas station in Fox Meadows became a crime scene.
Another shooting, this time in broad daylight Friday.
Wednesday night, FOX13 told you two people were killed at the gas station hours before another shooting hit a car less than a block away.
We watched as a SkyCop cam went up before 2 p.m. Friday.
Neighbors said the intersection of Knight Arnold and Mendenhall has become extremely dangerous.
There were bullet holes that hit a daycare next to the gas station from Wednesday’s shooting.
“When I pull up, I see another crime scene today, and I’m like again,” said Courtney Thompson.
Thompson said she was relieved to see a SkyCop cam go up Friday two days after Memphis rapper Donterrous Johnson and a child were killed at Valero.
Friends said Johnson, who went by the stage name Mendenhall Mendenhall, was an innocent bystander.
“He was at the wrong place at the wrong time. I just hate that happened,” said Thompson.
Memphis Police said 20-year-old Noah Jones, who they charged with two counts of first-degree murder, reported his car stolen at gunpoint Wednesday.
Police responded to a shooting later that night at the gas station. They said surveillance video showed the child who was killed arriving in Jones’s car.
Friends and family placed balloons and pictures of Johnson outside the gas station to remember him.
We are working to learn from the police if Friday’s shooting was connected to Wednesday’s shootings.
