MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Funeral and visitation arrangements have been announced for a Memphis firefighter killed during a crash last week.
David Pleasant, a 32-year veteran of the Memphis Fire Department, died in a crash on the way to a house fire in South Memphis.
Investigators said the wreck happened on Wednesday night at Danny Thomas Boulevard and E.H. Crump Boulevard.
When FOX13 crews arrived, a fire truck was on its side and a green pick-up truck was crashed on the side of the road.

Pleasant and four others, including three other firefighters, were rushed to the hospital in critical condition, but Pleasant died from his injuries.
The other firefighters were released.
According to a Facebook post from one of Pleasant’s daughters, visitation will be Monday, Aug. 22 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., with a funeral the next day at 11 a.m.
Both events will take place at Bellevue Baptist Church, 2000 Appling Rd., Cordova.
