MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis police are investigating after one person was shot and killed at a Mapco gas station, according to police.
Crime scene tape surrounded the Mapco gas station on the 2200 block of Whitten Road early Friday morning.
The victim has not been identified, but FOX13′s Jeremy Pierre confirmed it was an employee of the store. Police did not release what led up to the shooting.
FOX13 spoke to a customer who talked in the store and noticed no one was inside. Then he found the clerk lying behind the county.
“I just saw his feet,” the man said.
At least one homicide detective is on the scene.
