GRIM MILESTONE: Mississippi breaks 100,000 cases of COVID-19 and 3,000 deaths

MISSISSIPPI — The Mississippi State Department of Health reached two grim milestones on Saturday.

The milestones: 609 new cases of COVID-19 and 16 new deaths.

This brings the new totals to 100,167 cases and 3,011 deaths in the state.

This comes just days after Gov. Tate Reeves announces reduced restrictions on Mississippians that included the mask mandate ending and a new executive order being signed.

The new order ends on Nov. 11 at 5 p.m.
