Grizzlies move to 40 percent capacity for play-in game Wednesday

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Good news Grizzlies fans!

Memphis Grizzlies is allowing more fans inside the FedEdForum just in time for their Wednesday’s game.

FedExForum’s capacity is increased to 40 percent.

If the team wins, they will earn the last seed in the Western Conference playoffs.

“We love our fans and give a lot of credit to them,” said Grizzlies star Ja Morant. “We’re thankful for our fans and we’ll continue to try and fight to get them a win each time we step on the floor. Just continue to keep doing what they are doing. We love it and we feed off of it.”

The team said in a press release that they spoke with the Shelby County Health Department and NBA league office before changing the capacity from 20 to 40 percent.

Fans and workers will be required to wear face masks.

The Grizzlies’ announcement comes after the Memphis Redbirds confirmed full capacity will be allowed at the AutoZone Park.

At the baseball park, fans will not be required to wear face masks.
