The black jersey has black vertical stripes that are accented with gold and turquoise detailing on the side.
The gold and turquoise colors are a tribute to the late Isaac Hayes who owned a 1972 Cadillac El Dorado.
The classic car is on display at the Stax Museum. The team said the gold in the uniform “echo(s) the gold records and hits pouring out of Stax during that era.”
The Stax logo is also on the side of the pants.
The side also has an “MG” pattern on the side that was inspired by African Kente cloth.
The new uniform will be available to fans.
