MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A massive crime scene stretched from a closed-down Marathon gas station to Pleasant Hill Road.
Memphis Police used a K-9 to help find clues.
Officers investigated if gunfire from the eastbound lanes of Lamar Avenue is the reason behind the driver of a white four-door car getting shot and crashing his car in the gas station’s parking lot.
According to police, this shooting happened just after 7 a.m. on May 17.
Detectives indicated that there is no suspect information available.
Witnesses and evidence will absolutely be the key to helping find the person responsible for killing the man.

There is no one in custody and the investigation is ongoing.
On Tuesday, May 17, 2022, at 7:09 am, officers responded to Lamar Avenue and Shelby Drive Avenue in reference to a shooting at this location. Officers made the scene and located one male victim deceased on the scene.
