Some lanes of I-40 still blocked hours after tractor-trailer goes up in flames

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A tractor-trailer went up in flames early Thursday morning on I-40 and caused quite a traffic mess during the morning commute.

The tractor-trailer rolled over on its side late Wednesday night at Mile Marker 2.8 just past Watkins.

Memphis Fire Department responded this morning when the truck caught fire.

The westbound right lane of I-40 is blocked, and a section of the interstate still remains closed.

An entry ramp to the interstate is closed and the right shoulder is blocked.

There were no injuries, according to Memphis Police.

FOX13 is monitoring this situation throughout the day and will let you know when all lanes are back open.
