The district was already on high alert after Tuesday officials said someone found a threatening note written on a bathroom stall.

The Sheriff’s Department said they worked with UPD explosion detection K-9, OPD and school faculty and staff to search the high school to make sure the perimeter was safe.

Once that location was cleared, officials worked to clear the remaining perimeters of the campus.

The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department asks that anyone with information regarding these threats contact the LCSD Investigation Division at 662-234-6421.
