Lane Kiffin calls on pop singer Katy Perry to return to Ole Miss; touts free corndogs

OXFORD, Miss. — Could pop singer Katy Perry soon be chowing down on corndogs in The Grove?

Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin seems to think so, calling on the singer to lend her talents to Rebel football.

Kiffin posted a video on Twitter imploring Ole Miss fans to show up and support the team at the home opener against the Austin Peay Governors on Saturday.

In the video, the coach asked the “Roar” singer to bring her talents back to the “The ‘Sip.”

He even promised the singer he will “pay for corndogs” in the tweet.

On Thursday, Perry replied, touting Rebel quarterback Matt Corral as a potential Heisman winner.

Perry previously visited The Grove in 2014 when the Rebels took on Alabama.

She appeared as ESPN College GameDay’s celebrity picker when the show visited Oxford, holding up corndogs several times throughout the show.
