COLLIERVILLE, Tenn. — Lead has been found in the drinking water at two Collierville schools, officials say.
The district sent a letter to parents stating the lead levels found were ‘above the regulatory limit.’
The lead was found in two sinks, one at West Collierville Middle, and the other at Collierville Elementary, the letter said.
The sources were removed from service and will remain out of service until remediation is achieved.
The letter said samples were also taken at Tara Oaks Elementary and are not yet available.
