Shooting in Applebee’s parking lot leaves two critically injured, SCSO says

SHELBY COUNTY, Tenn. — Multiple people were rushed to Regional One Hospital Wednesday afternoon after gunfire erupted in an Applebee’s parking lot.

Shelby County Sheriff’s deputies made the scene of the shooting at 3895 Hacks Cross Rd. around 3 p.m.

SCSO said two people were taken to the hospital in critical condition from the restaurant.

A third person was also injured in the shooting, according to the Shelby County Sheriff’s Office. But, that person refused treatment at the scene, according to the Shelby County Fire Department.

FOX13 spoke to a woman at the scene who said her son, who is also the general manager of the Applebee’s, was one of the victims.

FOX13 crews on the scene saw crime scene tape surrounding the Applebee’s.

Dozens of evidence markers were littered over the parking lot as law enforcement tried to make sense of the scene.

SCSO said that the shooter sped away from the scene in a vehicle.
