Memphis, Tenn. — A man is behind bars in connection to a shooting that left a woman dead in Winchester on Saturday, according to court documents.
Police said they responded to a shooting call on the 5100 block of Winchester where they found a woman with gunshot wounds underneath a white pick-up truck.

The woman was pronounced dead on the scene, police said.
A witness called police describing the person responsible, court documents revealed.
Officers found Christian Pitts on the 5100 block of Walton Lake and arrested him. During the investigation, they found a semi-automatic handgun.
Pitts told investigators that he was asleep in his car when he heard a noise underneath. He then got out of his car, fought with a woman who was under his car, and then “blacked out.”
According to court documents, Pitts was charged with first-degree murder and convicted felon in possession of a handgun
In 2017, Pitts was convicted of reckless endangerment with a deadly weapon.
