WEST MEMPHIS, Ark. — Three people, including a teenager, were arrested after a shooting killed a 21-year-old man late Wednesday in West Memphis, police said.
According to the West Memphis Police Department (WMPD), officers responded just before 11 p.m. to Ingram Boulevard and East Baron Avenue and found a man in the street with multiple gunshot wounds.
The man, later identified as Samuel Johnson, was taken to a hospital, where he later died, police said.
Officers arrested two adults — Jotavion Ross, 18, and Tracey Brown, age unknown — were taken into custody along with a 15-year-old teenage boy, police said.
Police said that Ross had a firearm when he was arrested at a West Memphis hotel without incident; the teen later turned himself in to authorities shortly after. The two suspects were charged with capital murder.
Brown was also taken into custody and is facing a charge of hindering apprehension or prosecution, police said.
