Man dies after being shot at shopping center on Kirby Parkway, police say

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man is dead after gunfire rang out at the Kirby Parkway Center Thursday afternoon, according to the Memphis Police Department.

MPD said the shooting happened at 3295 Kirby Parkway around 3 p.m.

The outdoor shopping center on Kirby Pkwy hosts several stores and restaurants.

Police said a man was found shot there and rushed to Regional One Hospital in critical condition where he eventually died of his injuries.

The shooter, according to police, was another man who took off from the scene on a moped armed with a handgun, according to police.
