Man dies after going to Memphis fire station for help following shooting, police say

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police are searching for a shooting suspect after a man walked into a fire station in the 2200 block of Chelsea Avenue with a gunshot wound Tuesday afternoon.

The man was taken to Regional One Hospital.

He did not survive, police said.

Officers were told the shooting happened in the 1600 block of National Street.
