MEMPHIS,Tenn. — A man is facing charges after a heated argument with his neighbor turned physical, according to Memphis Police.
On October 17, around 5:50 p.m., MPD responded to reports of an altercation in the 1700 block of Third Green Drive.
Pattie Wicks told authorities the assault started when she got into a heated argument with Cedrick Banks over dog feces.
As words were exchanged, Banks hit Wicks on her head with a gun, causing the gun to fire, police said.
Shortly after, police found Banks at his home and detained him.
Banks told officers he cocked the gun to intimidate Wicks, then she threw dog feces at him so he hit her with the gun.
MPD searched his home and found a silver Taurus revolver loaded with one live 45 caliber round, one spent 45 caliber round and three live 410 shotgun shells.
Wicks was able to identify Banks as the neighbor that hit her in the head, according to police.
Banks is in police custody facing aggravated assault charges.
