MDHS makes emergency supplement benefits available for SNAP recipients

MISSISSIPPI — The Mississippi Department of Human Services announced the Food and Nutrition Service approved an emergency supplement benefits for SNAP recipients.

Households that are eligible to receive benefits will get emergency benefits for March and April.


People who do not receive benefits can apply online and if approved will also receive emergency benefits.

Those who apply will need to upload proof of identity, social security members for all living in the household, proof of income or proof of employment ending, expenses and proof of Mississippi residency.

April emergency supplements for SNAP recipients will be available April 2.
