Memphis, Tenn. — A Memphis man is behind bars, accused of kidnapping and repeatedly raping a woman.
The Memphis Police Department laid out the accusations in a horrific affidavit.
According to the MPD affidavit, a woman was walking home from Family Dollar near Avalon and Court when she was grabbed by 31-year-old Quiezell Johnson.
Police said that Johnson began strangling the woman and forced her to have unprotected sex.
The woman told police that Johnson then forced her to walk to different locations around Memphis, physically assaulting her when she would try to get away.
Johnson then forced the woman into the area behind a business at Cleveland and Peach, pulling out a foam mattress behind a dumpster and again forcing her to have unprotected sex, according to a police affidavit.
Police said Johnson then forced the woman to walk with him to Ur Way gas station and began physically assaulting her again when she tried to ask the clerk for help, an incident that was recorded on the store’s cameras, according to Memphis Police.
The woman told police that Johnson forced her to continue walking to North Memphis where he then took her behind a house and again forced her to have unprotected sex.
Police said Johnson then forced the woman to walk to Cornerstone Prep School on Frayser Blvd. and took her to the playground area where he again raped her.
The woman told police that Johnson allowed her to go home the following day but followed her to ensure that she didn’t call the police.
According to Memphis Police, the woman was able to enter a friend’s house on the way and Johnson left, allowing her to call her father who then called police.
Police reported that a sexual assault kit was completed and that the woman had visible injuries including a black left eye, scratches and bruises to her neck, bruising to her lower back and bruising to her left knee.
Johnson is charged with four counts of aggravated rape and one count of aggravated kidnapping.
