MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis police are going to be busy this weekend, but it’s all in good fun.
They’re hosting their Faith in Blue Weekend.
The purpose of the national weekend is to engage both law enforcement and faith communities in activities that help build the police-community relationship.
It comes with a list of activities.

Friday from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. they held a virtual discussion with the public to discuss community police and how to bridge the gap.
Saturday they will hold a community poetry contest to inspire the community.
The competition will only consider poems that uplift the community.
It will be at the Airways Police Station located at 2234 Truitt St.
The winner will receive an Inspire the City award.

Sunday they’re bringing churches together to pray for Memphis and law enforcement.
At 1 p.m. they’re asking everyone in the city to stop where they are and pray for their communities.
Monday, they’ll top off Faith and Blue Weekend with a community concert and festival at Tiger Lane.
It will be from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
