Memphis police searching for suspects after 2 pedestrians killed in hit-and-runs

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis police are searching for suspects in multiple fatal hit-and-run accidents involving pedestrians.

One crash happened Feb. 24 at Thomas Street near Cindy Lane, police said.

A man was fatally struck by a black Chevrolet Avalanche while crossing Thomas Street, police said.

The Avalanche should have front-end damage.

After hitting the victim, the vehicle continued to Marsh Street.

Police said another pedestrian was hit the same day at Victoria Road and Airways Boulevard.

A woman was hit and killed by a black medium-sized car with possible front-end damage.

Police said the vehicle continued on Airways toward Winchester after hitting her.
