Mississippi governor reads prank name while saluting high school grads

MISSISSIPPI — Wait, who’s graduating?!

Over the past week or so, Mississippi governor Tate Reeves has been doing something special for graduating seniors across the Magnolia State.

On several occasions, he has taken to Facebook Live to read the names of those grads who didn’t have the opportunity for a traditional graduation ceremony due to the coronavirus pandemic.

But during a recent live stream reading, a little prankster got one by the governor!

Reeves seemed to stop in his tracks after reading the name “Harry Azcrac” as if he knew he had just been punked!

The governor made light of the situation on Twitter afterward, saying “Harry’s submitter has a bright future as a Simpson’s writer!”

Glad to see the governor isn’t taking it too seriously!

“In 10 minutes we’ll be honoring more graduates on Facebook Live. Maybe even Ben—the pride of the Dover family,” he tweeted.
