Southaven, Olive Branch Mayors declare state of emergency; orders restaurants to limit service

MISSISSIPPI — The Mayors of Southaven and Olive Branch declared a state of emergency to limit the risk of spreading the coronavirus.

According to released statements, it is effective immediately March 22, at 5:00 p.m. and all business owners must follow these mandatory restrictions until further notice:

All restaurant dining rooms must close dine-in service and limit service to drive-through, delivery, take-out, or curbside options.

All gyms, bars, theaters, salons, clubs and recreational must close.

All businesses, clubs, organizations, places of worship, or other gatherings over 10 people are prohibited.

The decision is made by the state and federal government.
