JACKSON, Miss. — The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation (MBI) is investigating after an officer with the Meridian Police Department was shot and killed.
The officer, who has not been identified by name, and an unidentified woman were found at the scene.
The suspect, 31-year-old Dante Marquez Bender, is believed to be driving a 2004 Black Nissan Armada with a tag reading “IMANI.”
Bender may be armed and dangerous, the MBI said. And asked that if you see him or come in contact with him, please call 911.

Meridian is a city of more than 40,000 people located about 90 miles east of the Mississippi capital of Jackson.
