Modest Mouse pulls out of Beale Street Music Festival

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Another band has pulled out of this year’s Beale Street Music Festival.

Modest Mouse announced on Twitter on Monday that lead singer Isaac Brock tested positive for COVID-19, leading the band to cancel all shows that were scheduled for that week.

The band, perhaps most well-known for their hit “Float On” was set to take the Terminix Stage at the Beale Street Music Festival on Sunday, May 1 at 6:55 p.m.

“We’re sorry to say that after suddenly feeling ill, Isaac tested positive for Covid-19 this evening, shortly before we were due to take the stage in Atlanta,” the band posted to Twitter on April 25. “With that in mind, we’ve had to make the painful but unavoidable decision to postpone tonight’s show along with the remaining shows we’re due to play this week, in the interest of safety. In the coming days we’re going to work to reschedule the shows. Any ticket holders should keep an eye out for communication regarding refunds etc from your local promoter.”
