More than 300 people show up to vaccine site in Germantown for third shot

MEMPHIS, TENN. — As people begin to roll up their sleeves for their third COVID-19 shot, the city of Memphis has rolled out more public vaccination sites.

The Germantown Baptist Church site reopened Friday.

“I saw they were open today, so I decided to shoot in,” said Elmer Watson.

Germantown Baptist Church is a vaccination site once again. The city of Memphis offering The Pfizer and Moderna vaccine at the location.

“Next week, I’m going to Milwaukee, Wisconsin. That’s why I wanted to get my third shot in,” said Watson.

 And she’s not alone. More than 300 people passed through the vaccination site Friday.

This Germantown Baptist Church site is open Tuesday and Fridays 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

There are more than 160 providers in Shelby County offering the shot.
