US Marshals offer reward for man suspected of killing woman before kidnapping child

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police and the US Marshals are looking for Barry Medlock.

Medlock is accused of killing his son’s mother Sunday, and until Tuesday, believed to have his seven-month-old son, causing an Amber Alert.

The US Marshals are now offering a $1,500 reward for any information that leads to Medlock’s arrest.

That ended Tuesday when someone turned the child over to the police.

We now know a little more about the victim, 23-year-old Markita Clark. She leaves behind two young children.

Her family has created a GoFundMe account to pay for her funeral arrangements.

FOX13 reached out to Clark’s family but did not hear back from anyone.

Medlock remains at large and police are working to track him down.

This all unfolded Sunday when police say Clark was dropped off at Regional One, with a gunshot wound. She later died.

The manhunt for Medlock and his seven-month-old son began Monday when an Amber Alert was sent out.

We’re told an unknown person dropped the boy off at the Crump Police Station Tuesday.

Memphis Police ask if you know anything about where Medlock to contact CrimeStoppers at 901-528-CASH.
