MPD identifies suspect in 8-year-old girl’s murder

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Memphis Police Department identified the suspect in the death of an 8-year-old girl.

Cedric Conley, 43-years-old, is the suspect responsible for this murder, MPD said.

Conley is accused of shooting at other people but the bullet went into an apartment and killed Jordyn Washington.

FOX13 previously reported that this incident marked the 31st child killed in Memphis this year.

Three of those children were killed in just the past few weeks.

Conley is wanted for First Degree Murder, 4 counts of Criminal Attempt Felony (First Degree Murder), Convicted Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and Employment of a Firearm During a Dangerous Felony.
