MPD cancels search for 8-year-old boy

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — UPDATE: 6:50 A.M.

Memphis police have canceled a City Watch alert for a missing boy.

MPD said Preston Buggs, 8, has been found safe.

ORIGINAL STORY:

Memphis police are searching for a missing boy who could be in danger.

Preston Buggs, 8, was last seen in the 2700 block of Jeffrey Avenue.

Police said the boy was last seen by his mother when she dropped him off for the weekend with his father, Jeremy Williams.

Buggs has asthma and bronchitis and is possibly with his father.

Williams is not returning calls and did not return the boy to the pick-up location, MPD said.

Buggs is 4′ tall and was last seen wearing a short-sleeve blue shirt with black shorts and blue and orange shoes.

Williams, 35, was last seen driving a light blue Nissan Maxima with a white hood and temporary tags, MPD said.
