MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Chicken biscuit fans, rejoice!
A new Chick-fil-A restaurant opened Thursday in Memphis at 4649 Summer Ave.
The franchise selected Matthew Pruitt as the independent Owner/Operator of the new location, a release said.
Pruitt will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business.
The new business opened up 150 full- and part-time positions.
According to the release, the restaurant is located near the intersection of Summer Avenue and Stratford Road and will be open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
“I am honored to have the opportunity to provide a positive working environment and an excellent dining experience for our neighbors,” Pruitt said.
“When I began my journey as a Team Member, I was able to experience firsthand the positive impact our restaurant can provide daily. I look forward to making a positive impact and partner with local organizations, schools and non-profits to give back to our community, starting right here in Memphis.”

In place of the traditional Chick-fil-A First 100 Grand Opening celebration, Chick-fil-A Summer Ave will be surprising 100 local heroes making an impact in Memphis with free Chick-fil-A for a year. Additionally, in honor of the new restaurant opening, Chick-fil-A will donate $25,000 to Feeding America. The funds will be distributed to partners within the greater Memphis area to aid in the fight against hunger.
