OXFORD, Miss. — A campus visitor died after what school officials called a “vehicle incident” at the the University of Mississippi that involved a student.
According to school officials, the campus’ police department is investigating the Jan. 13 incident.
On Tuesday morning, school officials announced that “a visitor to campus” died after a “one-car motor vehicle incident” involving an Ole Miss student.
The school said that the visitor was taken to a Memphis hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The victim’s name was not released.
School officials said Tuesday that the death investigation is ongoing.
