Olive Branch High boys' basketball team quarantined

Pfizer coronavirus vaccine could be distributed by end of year

OLIVE BRANCH, Miss. — Olive Branch High School boys' basketball team is under quarantine.

A spokesperson for the high school confirmed to FOX13 that team members came in contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19.

The spokesperson said in a statement:

“Members of the Olive Branch High School boys' basketball team were quarantined due to close contact with a confirmed case, and the parents of the players were contacted with quarantine information from the Mississippi State Department of Health.”

Last month, DeSoto County Schools reported from the start of school, 10 students and eight staff members tested positive for the virus, resulting in 139 students to quarantine.
