MEMPHIS, Tenn. — One person is dead after an overnight accident on a Memphis interstate.
The crash happened at I-240 between Person Avenue and Norris Road.
According to Memphis Fire officials, a call about the accident came in at 3:42 a.m.
At 3:46 am this morning, officers responded to a two-vehicle crash at I-240 near Norris Road. One person was pronounced deceased at the scene and one person was transported non-critical to ROH. This is an ongoing crash investigation.

One person was rushed to Regional One, and another was pronounced dead at the scene, fire officials said.
According to TDOT, the multi-vehicle crash was reported at 3:49 a.m.
The crash resulted in blocked lanes and traffic delays for a time.
Memphis police said the incident is an ongoing crash investigation.
