CLUB SHOOTING: Family identifies victim shot and killed at Hickory Hill nightclub

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man is dead after a triple shooting overnight at a Memphis club.

The gunfire erupted at Indulge Lounge, 5959 Winchester Rd., in Hickory Hill.

Memphis police responded to the shooting just after 12:30 a.m.

The man who died was pronounced dead at the scene.

A woman who called the victim her friend said learning he was shot and killed was gut-wrenching.

“When he walked up he greeted everyone in the club,” Lisa Moore said. “He wasn’t in there a good 30 minutes.”

The man was identified by family and friends as Jimmy Williams.

“If you feel like you have to bring a gun to the club you don’t need to be there,” Moore said.

She said she thought someone had dropped something when the gunfire erupted.

“It didn’t even sound like gun shots,” she said. “We lost a good person tonight.”

Another victim was rushed to Regional One in critical condition.

Another victim arrived at St. Francis in a private vehicle, but was rushed to Regional One in critical condition, police said.

The shooting appeared to stem from an argument at the club.

One of the victims shot the other two then accidentally shot himself, police said.

The third victim has now been detained.
