17-year-old girl in critical condition after shooting in South Memphis, police say

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A 17-year-old girl was taken to the hospital after being shot in South Memphis.

The gunfire happened early Tuesday morning in the 300 block of Simpson.

Memphis Police said they received a call at 1:20 a.m.

Officers found the teen and transported her to Le Bonheur in critical condition, police said.

No suspect information was released.

No one is in custody, police said.
