SHELBY COUNTY, Tenn. — Early voting in Shelby County ended Thursday night with more than half of voters casting their ballots during the early voting period.
Unofficial numbers showed 20,856 people voted in person Thursday, bringing the in-person total to 302,215, the Election Commission reported.
The Commission said this year they’ve seen the largest voter turnout recorded in over 20 years.
Absentee ballots have also set a record this year.
