OXFORD, Miss. — Many restaurants in Oxford are sticking with curbside service even though they can open up the dining rooms.
They believed curbside service is the way to go.
Michael Conley, Manager of South Depot Street Taco Shop, said the restaurant had great success with curbside service and plans to keep it going even though the dining room is open.
“A lot of restaurants opening back up decided to cut the curbside service, but we figure it's a good service, and we believe it is probably the safest way to get food at the moment, and we've been very steady with curbside orders,” said Conley.

Handy Andy’s BBQ on North Lamar has a dining room but chose to continue curbside only.
The parking lot was packed at lunchtime.
Louis Ortiz, a customer, said he would rather get his order curbside.
“Because in a dining room, everything is crowded, especially in places like this, where the tables are pretty close together, so it does make me feel a little safer,” Ortiz said.
Many got use to the convenience and believed the curbside service isn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
