Photo released of alleged suspect after woman killed at Walgreens, police say

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police released new photos of the alleged suspect in a shooting at Walgreens.

On Dec. 29 about 1 p.m., officers responded to the 3100 block of Perkins Road to Walgreens for a shooting.

Officers saw a black Chrysler 300 with a woman sitting in the driver’s seat that was shot several times.

According to a release, the woman was taken to Regional One where she died from her injuries.

The victim was later identified by her husband as Juanita Washington.

Security video obtained by Memphis Police from Walgreens shows a man pulling up next to the victim’s car in a white Chevrolet van with green graphics on the side. He exits the van and shoots into the driver’s door several times and then flees the scene, police said.

The van was recovered later that evening with what appeared to be the same lime green graphic on the side “A&G Lawncare” with a phone number under the graphic and a man was seen leaving from the van, a release said.

No arrest has been made. This is an ongoing investigation.
