Child shot, killed, possibly by other child inside southwest Memphis home, police say

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis police are investigating after a child was shot Friday night.

Officers responded to a shooting in the 3500 Boxtown near T.O. Fuller State Park in southwest Memphis just after 9 p.m.

A child, a girl, was found and taken to Le Bonheur in critical condition. She later died from her injuries, police said.

According to police, the preliminary investigation revealed that the child was possibly shot by another child in the home.
