Police investigating shooting near UofM, university says

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Police are trying to find out who pulled the trigger after a shooting near the University of Memphis, according to the university.

“MPD [is] investigating a shooting [on the] 3500 block of Watauga. Avoid the area. No suspect or further information available at this time,” the University of Memphis police said shortly after 10:45 on Sunday night.
