UPDATE: (May 25, 3 p.m.) MLGW said all customers affected by Friday’s storm have been restored as of 1 p.m.

"It was a difficult weekend for many of our customers. I’m grateful that our crews, with the assistance of a number of outside crews, worked hard to complete a safe, focused restoration,” President & CEO J.T. Young stated.

UPDATE: 5:24 p.m The President of MLGW, JT Young held a Sunday presser regarding the Mid-South’s power outages. He said 24 outside crews are working with MLGW crews to relight the affected areas.

“We don’t want anyone to be inconvenienced, it’s just one of those things that we are trying to respond as quickly as we can and we are going to continue until everybody is back up. So we are going to work hard on that," Young said.

UPDATE: 11:00 a.mMLGW reports they will have 95 percent of the customer’s power restored by midnight Sunday.

There are still over 4,400 households without power.

UPDATE: 8:00 a.m.

MLGW is reporting there are still 5,695

UPDATE: 9:00 p.m.

MLGW has 8329 customers without power.

Entergy has 2,266 customers in Arkansas without power.

UPDATE: 7:05 p.m.

MLGW has 10,442 customers without power. The outages affect 3 percent of its customers.

MLGW said in a statement:

“Crews from MLGW, as well as other electric utilities called in to assist, have restored 40,495 of the 52,521 outages due to the storms. The most challenging and time consuming outages remain. Crews will continue working relentlessly until everyone impacted by this storm is restored.”

Entergy has 3,703 customers without power in Arkansas.

UPDATE: 4:35 p.m.

97 percent of MLGW’s customers have power. They are still working to restore power to 11, 991 customers.

UPDATE: 3:15 p.m.

Entergy has 3,915 customers in Arkansas without power.

UPDATE: 1:15 p.m.

MLGW crews planning to work all weekend to restore power to all those who lost it on Friday, they said in a release.

The current outages are 12,905.

UPDATE: 12:15 p.m.

MLGW said there are over 11,700 still without power.

UPDATE: 9:15 a.m.

MLGW reports there are 15,733 people without power.

UPDATE: 6:25 a.m.

MLGW is reporting there are still over 16,400 without power.

Entergy is reporting over 5,200 without power in our viewing area.

UPDATE: 7:30 p.m.

MLGW says there are 46,196 customers without power.

Entergy website outage map says some customers might not have power until 10 p.m. Saturday.

Nearly 7,500 Entergy customers in Crittenden and Cross Counties are without power.

UPDATE 5:10 p.m.

MLGW now says that there are 41,103 customers without power, nearly 10% of their service.

5:00 p.m. UPDATE

Areas across the Mid-South are facing power outages as a severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for surrounding counties.

So far, Entergy Arkansas reported nearly 5,000 power outages in Wynne, Forrest City, Parkin, and Earle.
