RECORDS: Memphis man arrested for allegedly raping, kidnapping woman

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man is facing serious charges after being accused of rape and kidnapping.

On March 7, officers responded to the area of Alcy Road and Perry Road for a forcible rape call.

The victim told police she was walking to the store when a man approached her with his car, records show.

She told police the man pulled out a black handgun and forced her into his car, the affidavit said.

The alleged suspect, later identified as Jamie Jenkins, 29, took the victim in an unknown direction then forced her to have sex with him, records show. After the assault, Jenkins dropped the victim off and she called the police, according to the affidavit.

Jenkins has been charged with aggravated rape, aggravated kidnapping, harassment and domestic assault causing bodily harm, court records show.

He is due in court on Monday.
