Shelby County launches public health data dashboard

SHELBY COUNTY, Tenn. — The Shelby County Health Department has launched a new public data dashboard for health information and resources.

The platform, www.healthiershelby.com, provides national, state and local data in one user-friendly location, according to SCHD.

Community members, stakeholders and government officials can analyze public health indicators that affect Shelby County residents’ quality of life and health.

The platform provides information for various indicators including access to health care, opioid use, COVID-19 and more.

The data is continuously updates for accuracy, SCHD said.

Shelby County Mayor Lee Harris said, “It is important to provide everyone in Shelby County with the data and information they need to make healthy choices that result in better health outcomes. This new platform moves us closer to our goal to make Shelby County a healthier community.”

The website will help build a healthier community and allow organizations to create collaborations to improve health and lower the cost of care.

The website allows users to build custom dashboards, graphs and charts to illustrate health outcomes and disparities, SCHD said.
