Woman in critical condition after second shooting at Frayser gas station, police say

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A woman was rushed to the hospital overnight after a shooting at a Valero gas station in the 2600 block of N. Watkins in Frayser.

Memphis Fire officials said a call about the shooting came in at 4:14 a.m.

The woman was rushed to Regional One and is in critical condition, police said.

MPD confirmed they received a call about a man armed with a gun shooting at a woman in a car at the gas station.

It is not clear at this time if the man and the victim knew each other.

The man was captured at the Appletree Apartments nearby, police said.

The gas station was the scene of a separate shooting late Tuesday night that left one man dead and a woman injured.
