Shots fired at a car leaves a man dead, another injured after leaving a club, police say

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police are investigating a crash early Sunday morning after a shooting.

Officers responded to the intersection of Coleman Rd. and Hoover Dr. for a crash just before 1 a.m. where they discovered a man had been shot, police said.

According to police, the driver of the car told police that his car was being shot at, which caused him to crash into another car.

He was also shot and is in non-critical condition.

The shooting victims were leaving a club called the Blue Ice Club, according to an MPD spokesperson.

The car that was hit had three children and an adult driving, police said.

The adult was taken to the hospital in critical condition and the children were taken to LeBonhuer in non-critical condition, police said.

All sustained injuries in the crash.
